Teacher: Jessi Clayton

Art can be beautiful, weird and inspiring.  Art that tells a story adds an additional thought-provoking layer.  Some paintings are so complex that they draw the observer in, challenging them to create a story to make sense of the work.  The goal for this course is to create a masterpiece that does just that.  The artists will create a painting that tells a special story about themselves, so that when an onlooker views the work, they can use the imagery to come up with a story of their own.  This involve creating drawing for each element of the story and attaching the drawings to the canvas in a unique way so the plot will flow as they would like to convey it.  Finally, using paint, the artists will enhance their drawings to bring their story and their artwork into one masterpiece!
