Cooking Up a Story

Add two fairy tales, three cups of flour, one poem, a dash of imagination and mix! Kids will have the opportunity to explore and examine works of children’s literature and create delicious dishes that complement the stories or poetry we read. We will imagine what Alice in Wonderland eats during tea time; perhaps petit fours? And, we’ll try to decide what dishes the Cat in the Hat would have made if he stayed for dinner with Sally, her brother and their Mom after she came home; maybe some homemade lasagna? This week will be full of reading and expanding on literature using delicious dishes that the kids will cook from scratch!
