Megan Ivins

Megan Ivins is originally from just north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has been involved with leadership organizations and caring for children since 2001. During middle school, Megan became involved with the Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils, which offered many opportunities to travel throughout the Keystone State and the greater United States as well as Calgary, Canada and Sydney, Australia.  Through PASC, Megan has also had numerous experiences attending, planning and orchestrating various leadership camps and workshops.  Each unique experience has prepared Megan to teach students about the importance of self respect, respect for others, effective communication and self confidence.

Megan graduated from Robert Morris University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and has plans to obtain her teaching certificate in special education in the fall. During her time at RMU, she was the captain of her division 1 rowing team and created and executed two girl empowerment classes as well as a literacy program for an at risk after school program.

Megan has lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the past 5 years and is very excited about relocating to the Austin area!
